The future of smart grid communications is being set by those few who can participate in the extensive effort to craft new standards. That leaves many of us wondering what has been agreed upon and what is left to be decided. The purpose of this webinar is to discuss these questions and probe into the potential impact that these new standards will have upon the smart grid business plans of the utilities and the impact on those who will have to live by the standards. In this first of two webinars, we’ll look at Priority Action Plans (PAPs) 1 and 2. These PAPs focus on the suitability of the internet protocol suite to smart grid communications (PAP01) and the role of wireless communications (PAP02).
