UTC Files Return Comments to the FCC on its National Broadband Plan

Reply Comments of the Utilities Telecom Council -  UTC fully supports the Commission’s effort to develop a national broadband plan, and urges the Commission to take an approach, consistent with comments on the record, that promotes the larger national policy goals of the country and recognizes that broadband is about more than consumer services. While broadband access and applications are improving, by the Commission’s own admission “there is much work to be done;” and UTC applauds the FCC for considering the perspectives of all stakeholders – including utilities and other critical infrastructure industries – to find innovative solutions.

Reply Comments of the Utilities Telecom Council and Edison Electric Institute - The Utilities Telecom Council and the Edison Electric Institute filed reply comments in response to the Commission’s Notice of Inquiry in the implementation of Section 224 of the Act, and the amendment of the Commission’s Rules and Policies Governing Pole Attachments in its National Broadband plan.  UTC and EEI fully support the Commission’s effort to develop a national broadband plan, and urge the Commission to take an approach, consistent with comments on the record, that promotes the larger national policy goals of the country and which recognizes that broadband is more than just the Internet.
