UTC Fiber Optic Professional (FOP) Level 3 Advanced Designer Program

Training provided by:

Criteria required for selecting, specifying, planning, integrating, and designing fiber optic communication systems for utility applications. The one day technical primer consists of fiber optic transmission applications that deal with advanced fiber optic transmission concepts. The class focuses on dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems and transmission impairments that limit bandwidth and subsequent maximum operating bit rates of a fiber optic transmission systems. This course is designed to give participants a solid understanding of how this technology works from theory to applications with special emphasis fiber dispersion limits and DWDM system design considerations.

Target Audience: Designers, Planners, Managers, and Supervisors.
