Philadelphia Marriott Downtown
November 29, 2012
10:00 am - 3:00 pm ET
Hold the date! On November 29, 2012 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, UTC will hold a meeting between utilities and representatives from the Mid-Atlantic Consortium for Interoperable Nationwide Advanced Communications (MACINAC) Initiative. The MACINAC Initiative, funded under the Department of Homeland Security’s Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program and managed by the All Hazards Consortium, is designed to allow a combined, coordinated approach to prepare for the implementation of the 700 MHz National Public Safety Broadband Network (“NPSBN”) in the region.
The MACINAC is interested in working with utilities to determine their communications requirements and their assets that could be contributed towards the construction, maintenance and operation of the network. UTC is encouraging interested utilities to attend the meeting.
The location of the meeting will be the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown. UTC has no guaranteed room block or room rate for this meeting, but for members who are interested in staying at the hotel, here is a link to the online hotel registration. Also, here are directions to the hotel. For further information, contact the UTC Legal/Regulatory Department.
